Things To Explore...
You've selected the Full Faith Church of the Midwest Demo and indicated that you'd like to experience the demo from the perspective of a Website Administrator.

When you log in to the website, you'll find a link titled "Admin Features" about halfway down the lefthand menu. Follow that link to explore the various capabilities that are exposed exclusively to administrators:

  • Add New Member
  • - allows you to add new records to the membership database and create website logins for new members
  • Edit Existing Member
  • - allows you to view and update data about existing members; the specific data elements that are stored are determined when we create the website and we can store as little or as much information as needed
  • Extract Data
  • - allows you to download data from the membership database in a comma-delimited format that can be used to generate mailing labels, create custom documents, or synchronize existing third-party systems
  • Send Alerts
  • - alerts are messages that display to some or all organization members when they log in to the website; use this feature to create and manage those messages
  • Send Messages
  • - messages can be delivered to organization members via email or the in-site messaging option; this admin area allows you to create and send messages to members using either approach
  • Manage Content
  • - one of the most important features on a website is the ability to keep content current; use this feature to see the content that is currently published throughout the website and to add new information or edit what's already there
  • View Reports
  • - see detailed information about who is using the website and what features they are using

As an administrator, you'll also have access to the general areas of the website that all members can access. You may want to explore the following features as well:

  • Homepage
  • - exposes information that is available to the general public and which visitors see when they arrive at your website
  • Newsletter
  • - this area of the website shows how a church can deliver its newsletter to its members in electronic format
  • Calendar
  • - provides an area where information about upcoming events and scheduled activities can be posted
  • Pastor's Corner
  • - demonstrates how an area can be made available on the website where a designated admin, in this case the Church's pastor, can informally post information
  • Choir, Youth Group
  • - demonstrate how we can create sub-homepages for various activities within the church
  • Update Your Profile
  • - allows members to review and update the information that is kept on file, providing accurate contact information and other data about each member
  • Discussion Forums
  • - allows members to read and post messages in forums that are categorized by topic. Advanced preferences allow members to customize the forums to suit their desires
  • Photo Gallery
  • - Enables members to view and upload photos as well as to categorize photos by "tagging" them with key words or phrases
  • Private Messaging
  • - A private and secure way for members to exchange messages in an email-like format right on the website
  • Member Directory
  • - the heart of every Ization Website, the Membership Directory provides access to selected information about Church members. The information that is shared can be set globally or members can determine which information about themselves is made available to other members
