No two projects are ever identical but our experience has established two broad rules of thumb for allocating budgets. Depending on your requirements, these recommendations may or may not apply but they generally provide a rough picture of how we can most effectively apply your budget to your project.
For large scale custom projects that require intensive development effort, we generally allocate the budget across the following four categories:
| CATEGORY |
BUDGET PERCENTAGE |
| Design Fees |
10 - 20% |
| Development Fees |
50 – 65% |
| Hosting, Maintenance, & Support Fees |
15 – 20% |
| Advertising, Announcement, & Rollout Fees |
5 – 10% |
For smaller, semi-custom projects based on our most common organization website features, a typical budget allocation would look like the following:
| CATEGORY |
BUDGET PERCENTAGE |
| Design Customization Fees |
1 – 2% |
| Setup Fees |
10 – 20% |
| Hosting, Maintenance, & Support Fees |
70 – 85% |
| Advertising, Announcement, & Rollout Fees |
5 – 10% |
